About us Marty's Catering Services was established in 1993 by well-known local chef, Marty McToal. Prior to setting up Marty's Catering Services, he was a partner in The Butterchurn Restaurant, Main Street Larne. Marty has previous experience with numerous local hotels and restaurants. Outside catering is the one aspect of the business that has never changed, although other avenues have certainly opened up along the way. Marty's Catering Services was based at Unit 7, Ledcom Industrial Estate for 7 years working alongside "The Canteen" (a charity based workgroup) at unit 9. In 2002 Marty's catering services took over the Canteen and in doing so also took over the only local meals on wheels service in the area. The numbers of meals going out on a daily basis were diminishing to a point where it would not have been viable for the service to continue. With assistance from local health care and social workers in Antrim Area Hospital, the daily numbers are now 50+, Monday through to Friday, providing a well balanced healthy hot nutritious meal which comes ready to eat, with no preparation requirements.
